Installation shot

Work made as part of DIY, an exhibition in an industrial warehouse organized by Surface Arts.

The work forms a series of paintings made using photographs taken at weekly intervals across the preparation and exhibition time period of DIY, changing the space temporarily through this process. The act of observing and being observed is a contemporary aspect of our psychogeography, affecting the way it feels to ‘be’ in today’s society and its spaces. Translating and presenting the imagery as paintings gives an ambiguity from which the strangeness of this contemporary realism may emerge.
